Dr. Reiser’s gateway into medical innovation began with research. While obtaining her Ph.D. in Bioengineering at Rice University she had the opportunity to develop cancer vaccines while simultaneously supporting early-stage startups in Houston. She always asked the question, “How does this innovation become a reality for patients?” The intersection between science and implementation sparked a passion for helping life science innovators understand the commercialization potential of their technologies.
What began as a passion has evolved in her specialty. During her leadership with Enventure she contributed to projects with dozens of local life science startups, helped form four new companies, and supported dozens of individuals transitioning to careers in entrepreneurship. At the Texas Medical Center, she manages a global network to ensure that the stakeholders in the TMC community can connect to the resources they need to be successful.
Ultimately, Dr. Reiser’s mission is to enable meaningful improvements in health outcomes at scale because these results directly impact the lives and well-being of others. Her goal is to continue this legacy by nurturing a healthy innovation community where well-matched conversations lead to collaborations that will ultimately enable clinically meaningful milestones and improve patient outcomes. From the inventor who wants to make an impact to those seeking to support innovation with their time or investment, Dr. Reiser is saving a seat at the table for you to make an impact through innovation.
